Adventure Robot

Cute little robot riding off to adventure in a cardboard box.

Part of my Robot Enlightenment series of automata (a series of 26 named automata about a tiny robot trying to find happiness). This one is called “Fantasy”.

The little robot is a passenger in the box and can be removed or repositioned.  The head of the robot is friction fit on a wooden shaft and can be rotated left or right.  The legs and arms are attached with leather cord, so they are somewhat poseable as well.

Made of solid cedar, maple and other hardwoods along with spring music wire for the mechanism. Finished in natural (skin & food safe) linseed oil.  Fantasy is engraved on the lower left corner of the base and Spetzler Designs 2024 is engraved on the bottom of the base.

These are heirloom quality art pieces that are not suitable for infants or toddlers because of the small parts that could be a choking hazard (and a potentially sharp spring wire components).
