Cute little robot standing on a heart and holding a flower. I made a little robot almost exactly like this one as a gift for Becky (my spouse) when she was feeling a little down. It lives on her desk now. It’s a static sculpture using one of the little robots from my Robot Enlightenment series of automata. I usually only make automata and kinetic art, but this one got quite a few requests from people on social media, so I made a small batch of 8 of them. I’m not sure if I will make more or not, but I thought I would put the last few up for sale here on Etsy and see if there’s any interest. I think they are adorable, but then I made them to be adorable, so…
A perfect little decorative wood sculpture. Made from white maple, yellow heart and padauk wood. The piece is all the natural wood colors and finished with pure linseed oil (food & skin safe).
Please look at the group image to get an idea of the way they all look. I try to make them all as similar as possible, but being had made by me (and wood having natural variations in color & grain as well), each one is unique.
“Spetzler Designs 2025” is engraved on the bottom to show that it is an original made by me.
These are collectable heirloom art pieces that are not suitable for very small children because of the tiny parts that could break off and become a choking hazard.
