Introduction
It started out as a project just for myself...
I started this series when I was struggling with anhedonia (a kind of numbness or lack of feelings). I was looking for some relief and came across an online challenge to make a piece of art every week. The challenge was to work through every letter of the alphabet and try to keep a consistent theme or story from beginning to end.
I chose a little robot trying to find enlightenment (or happiness) as my theme to try to work through the numbness and disconnection I was feeling. The robot represented a part of me that was looking for my human side again and I thought by forcing myself to stick to a theme that is mostly positive maybe I would learn and grow from the challenge. I was right.
What you see here is the result of the (still ongoing) challenge. What started out as a personal journey has turned into a wonderfully supportive following and now a growing full time business. The robot series is where my artistic journey & healing began.
I still make small batches of some of the earlier designs and sell them on Etsy and at my studio. All of the originals are still with me and on display for everyone to play with.
